Organ and Carillon
Our magnificent organ was built and installed by the firm Visser-Rowland of Houston, Texas, in 1992. It is a 2 manual, 30 rank tracker action instrument that is well suited to both solo repertoire and accompaniment of congregation and choir. Its solid oak case blends in beautifully with the redwood construction of our Sanctuary. For the full specifications of the instrument (including a stop list), click here.
Our soaring carillon (bell-tower) is a beloved fixture of the Portola Valley skyline. With 35 bells cast by the renowned Royal Eijsbouts foundry in the Netherlands, it can be played electronically either from a control system or from the organ console. It is programmed to chime the hour daily at 9 a.m., 12 noon, and 5 p.m., as well as to sound before each Sunday service.
