Cara O’Connell
Cara has been with Carillon School since August of 2015. She enjoyed the tutelage of then interim director Nancy Kruberg who had been a previous director and was instrumental in the establishment of Carillon since its inception.
She began her teaching career in New Jersey where she earned a BA Degree from Georgian Court University in Elementary Education with a specialty in Sociology. She has continued her professional growth by taking ECE classes from Foothill College. She has been teaching in the Early Childhood Education field for over 20 years.
Her family moved to California in 2001. A year later, she began teaching Early Childhood Education in a 3’s Program and spearheaded the introduction of a 2’s Program. For the past four years, she has been truly enjoying teaching a Pre-K Program. She is passionate about teaching children and helping prepare them for Kindergarten through a fun, enriched, and relaxed environment. She is married and has four beautiful children, two sons ages 30 and 28, and 24 year old twin daughters. It gives her great joy to have the opportunity to support children’s growth, watch them realize new and amazing aspects of themselves, their peers, and the environment that surrounds them.
